RNHRD Museum
The RNHRD is the oldest in Bath and opening May 1742 largely through the activity of Richard (Beau) Nash.  Many well-known names appear on the list: Dr Oliver (the first physician), Ralph Allen, John Wood the elder, Lord Palmerston, General Wade, William Hoare (artist) and Jeremiah Piece (first surgeon).  The object of the hospital was the relief for the suffers from Rheumatic Diseases among the beggars of Bath , intended to get those who were general ill off the streets.  The hospital has now established a museum which can be visited on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2-4pm, Fridays from 10-11.30am or by appointment.
